Titanium is one of the strongest and lightweight metals on earth. It has the best strength to weight ratio, the so-called specific strength of all materials readily available.
Titanium combines superior material properties: it is strong, lightweight, corrosion resistant, biocompatible and has an excellent fatigue life. That combination makes it an ideal choice for many demanding applications.

Microstructure of Titanium MIM Parts
Titanium can be alloyed with several elements to create a specialized material. The most common Titanium alloy is Ti-6Al-4V, also known as “Grade 5”. It combines a high strength with good ductility while having an excellent fatigue strength.
The physical and mechanical properties of titanium and titanium alloy fully meet the relevent ASTM standard(F2885-11 Type 1 density). For example, MIM Ti6Al4V can achieve a density of >4.4g/cm3, a yield strength of 950 MPa(F2885-11 ≥830 MPa), a tensile strength of 1000 MPa(F2885-11 ≥900 MPa), and elongation of up to 15%(F2885-11 ≥10%).
